Sleep, the
whole night
through

Suan is a sleep app for the whole night: getting off to sleep, and getting back to sleep when you wake at 3am. It was made for women in perimenopause, and it works just as well for men, and for anyone who wakes in the small hours. Every track is read by me, and shaped with Cara, a psychotherapist.

Your subscription

Suan is a yearly subscription with the first week free and new stories every month. The price for your country is shown before you start. It renews each year until you cancel, and if you cancel before the free week ends you won't be charged.

Waking in the night

After midnight, Suan opens on Back to Sleep: a near-black screen with four choices, so there's nothing to browse. On an iPhone you can also ask Siri ("I'm too hot in Suan", "My mind's racing in Suan", "I can't sleep in Suan", "Tell me a story in Suan") or use the Back to Sleep widget, and on an Apple Watch the same choices are on your wrist. On Android, press and hold Suan's icon for the same choices.

Tracks that download

The sleep stories and other longer tracks download in the background once you subscribe, so the first download from the store is smaller. Everything offered at 3am is inside the app already and plays with no signal. If a track hasn't arrived yet, playing it fetches it straight away.

Your nights

Connecting Apple Health or Health Connect is optional. If you do, Suan reads your sleep on your phone to show your nights beside the tracks you used, in plain words, never a score. It never sends your health data anywhere. Suan has no account and no server; your answers and listening stay on your phone. See the privacy policy.

Something isn't right

A note on health

Suan helps you relax and drift off. It isn't a medical device and doesn't diagnose or treat any condition. If your sleep or your health is a worry, talk to your GP.
